This patient was a 28 year-old male with a 2.1 cm testicular mass. Serum AFP was elevated. Illustrated in this image is a Schiller-Duval body, considered by some to be diagnostic of yolk sac tumor. The structure consists of a rosette-like arrangement of tumor cells which palisade around a central vascular structure with some intervening myxoid or collagenous material. |
